Musica in Prossimità is a festival that brings contemporary music beyond its more conventional settings, bringing it closer to the people, places and communities that welcome it.
Founded in 2014 by the association Metamorfosi Notturne and directed by Quartetto Maurice, the festival promotes “proximity” as a way of experiencing live music: an opportunity for encounter, connection and sharing.
Each edition creates spaces for participation in contexts that foster dialogue, discovery and exchange. Music thus becomes a means of inhabiting places in new ways, connecting the local dimension with some of the most vibrant and significant experiences of the contemporary international scene.
Alongside the concerts, the festival offers creative residencies, educational programmes and opportunities for artists, young musicians and audiences to meet and exchange. An invitation to explore new sonic languages, embrace the unexpected and experience contemporary music up close.
