ON AIR
The acousmatic concert performed by Carlo Laurenzi, Computer Music Designer at IRCAM, Paris, opens with Djungle Walk and Travel from the album On Air by Christina Kubisch, pioneer of sound art and creator of the renowned Electrical Walks, dedicated to the perception of electromagnetic sounds in urban networks.
A follow-up celebrates the centenary of the birth of Luciano Berio with Thema (Omaggio a Joyce), one of his most appreciated works on the relationship between word and music, enriched by the voice of Cathy Berberian, and two masterpieces of musique concrète: Cinq études de bruits by Pierre Schaeffer and Capture éphémère by Bernard Parmegiani, protagonists of 20th-century electroacoustic research.
