Lavora a dispositivi sorprendenti, spesso in relazione al medium radiofonico, e conduce un’investigazione instancabile sulle categorie estetiche e le posture di ascolto. Il suo lavoro recente include l’archivio vocale Plane Talea (in progress), le performance radiofoniche Je ne suis pas là pour parler (2019) e Consensus Partium (2020), il ciclo di composizioni Pièces à pédales (2021) e le opere di teatro musicale Journal de Bord and Portraits des Voix realizzate con Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart (2018 e 2021). La musica di Alessandro Bosetti è programmata regolarmente in festival come Festival d'Automne di Parigi, Festival Eclat di Stoccarda, GRM's Présences Electroniques festival di Parigi, Liquid Architecture festival di Melbourne, San Francisco Electronic Music Festival e Musica festival a Strasburgo.
Numerose sono le uscite discografiche per label come Errant Bodies Press, Holidays Records, Rossbin, Sedimental, Unsounds e Monotype che ha dedicato un box retrospettivo di 4 CD al lavoro di Bosetti nel 2016. Il suo libro Thèses/Voix – una collezione di testi tra teoria, poesia e spartiti – è stato pubblicato nel 2021 da Les presses du réel.

Alessandro Bosetti is a composer and sound artist based in Marseille with a specific interest in the musicality of spoken language as well as in the voice — understood as an autonomous sound being — as well as in the relationship between sound and memory. He builds surprising dispositifs, often related to the radiophonic medium and leads a tireless questioning of aesthetic categories and of listening postures. His recent works include the voice archive Plane Talea (in progress), the radio performances Je ne suis pas là pour parler (2019) and Consensus Partium (2020), the cycle of compositions Pièces à pédales (2021) and the musical theater pieces Journal de Bord and Portraits des Voix with Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart (2018 and 2021). Alessandro Bosetti’s music is regularly programmed in festivals such as Festival d'Automne in Paris, Festival Eclat in Stuttgart, GRM's Présences Electroniques festival in Paris, Liquid Architecture festival in Melbourne, San Francisco Electronic Music Festival, and Musica festival in Strasbourg.
Numerous record releases on labels such as Errant Bodies Press, Holidays Records, Rossbin, Sedimental, Unsounds and Monotype, which dedicated a retrospective box set (4 CDs) to his work in 2016. His book Thèses/Voix — a collection of texts between theory, poetry and score — was published in 2021 by Les presses du réel.
